Woodside House

Woodside House is a 5-bedroom semi-detached country house in Bockmer End, a small hamlet in the parish of Medmenham, set in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames. It sleeps 11 guests over two floors and has private driveway parking for 4 cars. It is a traditional house that has been recently updated, with walks starting from the front door.

The ground floor is where groups gather. The large kitchen has an electric AGA, an induction hob, a separate electric oven and grill, a microwave, a fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a pod coffee machine and a dining table seating 8, with a utility room and washer-dryer off it. There is also a separate dining room with a table seating 8 to 10. The lounge has comfortable sofas and armchairs seating 10 to 12, a smart TV, a grand piano and an inglenook fireplace with a cast-iron wood-burning stove. The garden has patio seating, and there is a WC with a basin outside the house, reached via the drive.

All five bedrooms are on the first floor, up one slightly narrow flight of stairs: a super king (with views over the countryside), a king, a double with an ensuite bathroom with a retro corner bath and bidet, a twin, and a twin with a single sofa bed and an ensuite shower room. The double bedroom is reached through one of the ensuites, and there is no separate family bathroom. There is also a separate WC with a basin on the first floor.

Marlow's high street, the Thames and Marlow station are a 10-minute drive away, and Henley-on-Thames is 15–20 minutes by car. Danesfield House and the Thames Path at Medmenham are 5 minutes away, and The Dog & Badger in Medmenham, recently renovated, is 5 minutes away for food. Marlow is around an hour's walk along the Chiltern Way.
